The Magic of a Fairy Blogmother

Once upon a time there was a lovely blogger whose name was Elaine.

Elaine was happily blogging along...

when suddenly her internet was out of service, and oh my, so was her laptop.

The lovely blogger sat home alone, disconnected from all of her bloggy friends. She was sad and distressed that all of her friends would think that she had disappeared into the bloggy abyss.

As she sat in despair, a thought went through her brilliant mind…it was time to contact her Fairy Blogmother. She picked up her landline and to her dismay, there was no dial tone. Thank goodness for cellphones! She looked and sure enough, she had bars.

Quickly dialing, before disaster struck yet another utility, she reached ME, yes ME, Julie, wifemomnurse…her fairy blogmother.

I am here to tell you that Elaine misses all of you very much and hopes you are all well. She would love to receive your comments, as she gets them transmitted magically to her cell. If you are her friend on Facebook, she is still connected there. Whew, thank goodness, I’m afraid she would have swooned if she didn’t have her Facebook to display the maternity pictures that she recently shot of her amazing sister, just days before she gave birth. (No silly, not Elaine, her sister!)

Now, faithful followers, do not despair. Elaine is very optimistic that on Tuesday the repairman will return and get her back online! She has a post ready and waiting so she can present to you her maternity shoot. I, for one, am really looking forward to that! As we all know, Elaine has a natural gift for photography and she is blossoming before our very eyes.

Well, for now, I shall sprinkle a bit of fairy dust on this blog of my friend in real life, Elaine. We both wish you all a wonderful weekend filled with summer amusements…

Farewell,

The Matters of the Heart Fairy Blogmother

Oh no, not now, I said.

Right in the middle of uploading the maternity pictures, I took yesterday, my laptop took a turn for the worse. I think it might even be officially dead, however, the doc has not confirmed it yet.

I just wanted to let you know, if you did not see much of me lately, that is the reason. While we have a desktop, it is just not as convienient for me to be on it, with the kids.

Hoping I'm wrong, and I will be up and running real soon.

Take care...

Not Me Monday

It is not me, who is participating in Mckmama's Not Me Monday, for the first time in a very long time. Oh my, how have I ever neglected, this fun way of covering up my short comings.

It was not me who found out that my photo made the top two, in the All Pop Art facebook photo contest. It is also not me that wants all you facebook people to become a fan of the All Pop Art page, and vote for my Goosie girl, right here. It is not me who can tell you exactly how to vote, if you have problems.

It was not me who forgot to pack most of Rooney's stuff for our little getaway. It was not me who was stuck buying a $27 dollar pair of shorts because all he had to wear was his swim suit and jammies. Really, who could ever be that lame, to get distracted and forgot to put an entire stack of clothes in the suitcase?

It was not me who gave in and actually drank a couple of regular cokes, on our little trip. Oh my, if it was me, I might have enjoyed them so much, I would have had a hard time going back to the diet one's.

Oh, and last but certainly not least, it is not me who is about to tease you with one, and only one, picture of our little trip.

That's all for now folks, because it is not me who has about 100 photos that I want to edit, before I have my first ever belly shoot tomorrow. That is if my sister doesn't go into labor tonight.

How on earth did I forget that?

Ooops, I forgot to tell you I was going away for the weekend. By the way, I also forgot to pack my Rooney's clothes, for our little getaway too. Well, not all his clothes, just the last stack, that sure enough was still on the dresser, when we returned late last night.

I'll be back to fill you all in, after I unpack, start the laundry, and finish my first strong cup of coffee in three days. Oh yeah, I guess I should add, upload the mass amounts of photos, I took at our destination.

Hope you all had a great weekend, and a happy 4th. Can't wait to stop by and read all about it.

Have a great day.

The "to do" list.

My to do list is a mile long, or so it seems. So here I sit, somehow I must of thought a blog post was an important part of that list. Or is it that I am avoiding the list all together?

Regardless here I sit at the computer. I thought I would share a few pictures of our Zoo trip, with my in real life and blogger friend Wife.Mom.Nurse.

I have to say, that even with the age difference, the kids had a great time together.

Wife.Mom.Nurse
and Fire Hubby have two beautiful children. Scout is the oldest and princess the youngest. One day I will tell you the story, how they spent the entire summer, taking care of Goose and the Mister, while I was in the hospital. I'm telling you, she has a heart of gold.

And look at how wonderful her children are with mine. They are so helpful and fun to be around.

Yes, we did see some animals, I just thought you probably wanted to see the kids anyway. Sorry no pictures of the mommies, I promised.

I will leave you with the little guy that had the most fun cooling off in the mist.

This was such a joy filled moment for him. Aww, it's always the little things in life.
